Amy Sawbridge leads the People Strategy team at Virgin Group. She works closely with the People teams in all of the Virgin companies across the globe, which are responsible for employing over 68,000 people. People Strategy works hand in glove with Virgin Group’s brand and investment teams, reflecting the vital role that Virgin people play in the overall Virgin brand experience.
The team ensures that Virgin is changing business for good through its culture, and continues to be a world leading employer.
During her time at Virgin Group, Amy has built a powerful collective of Virgin People experts; led a global project to define the ‘essence’ of great Virgin leadership; transformed multiple regionalised, generic employee discount schemes into one strategic global asset to engage, reward and enable the Virgin employee community; as well as supporting M&A activity to ensure new companies embrace the Virgin way.
Previously Amy worked for Virgin Media where she was Senior Strategic Business Partner for the product, commercial, brand and marketing teams. She also worked as part of the Talent team to develop their talent management framework and leadership development initiatives. Prior to her Virgin career, Amy worked in the not-for-profit sector.
